Install           

1. Clean the surface: The area where the flashing will be installed should be thoroughly cleaned and dried to ensure proper adhesion.
2. Cut the flashing: Cut the flashing to the appropriate length, allowing for a slight overhang on either side of the area to be sealed. Leave the flashing to warm and flatten before the next step.
3. Peel and stick: Peel the protective backing from the self-sticking side of the flashing and carefully position it over the area to be sealed, pressing it firmly into place.
4. Seal the edges: Apply an additional layer of roofing sealant around the edges of the flashing to ensure a watertight seal.
5. Inspect and maintain: Once the installation is complete, inspect the flashing regularly and make any necessary repairs or maintenance to ensure its continued effectiveness.

Flash Protect Warranty

The warranty provided by Industrial Roof Coatings Pty Ltd for its Flash Protect Flashings is for a period of seven years from the date of purchase. If the product fails to operate for any reason within the warranty period and the product is returned to the place of purchase at the Buyer’s expense, the Seller will repair or replace the unit free of charge, subject to certain conditions.

The conditions of the warranty are that the product must be returned to the company with proof of purchase, must not have been tampered with, and must not have failed due to misuse, improper installation, or incorrect usage or installation not in accordance with the Company’s recommendations. The warranty does not cover any consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law or the Consumer Guarantee Act of New Zealand if applicable, and all other warranties express or implied, whether arising by virtue of statute or otherwise are excluded. Also, the warranty does not apply to products used outside of Australia and New Zealand.

In summary, if the Flash Protect Flashings fail to operate within seven years of purchase and meet the conditions of the warranty, the product can be repaired or replaced free of charge by the Seller. However, any misuse, improper installation, or incorrect usage of the product that leads to its failure will not be covered by the warranty.
